Determining who to collect data from and how to collect that data is an essential step in the evaluation and research processes. This step comes after the research questions are drafted. The sampling method depends on not only the data to be collected but also on the project timeline and resources available to the evaluation and research teams. It is important to have an adequate understanding of sampling methods to make informed decisions about the project’s next steps.
